U.S. coins with silver?

I’m a new collector and I’m interested in buying silver coins as an investment. What US coins have a fairly high silver content to be profitable? I know walking liberty’s, franklin 50 cents and some early dimes have some silver, but i have no idea how much they have?

Do you want to collect coins or invest in silver? Silver US coins are priced based on their collector value, which is far above the bullion price of the silver.
I recommend you buy a copy of the Red Book for coins which shows coin values, bullion content, and much other information, so see the first link below. The second link shows current silver bullion value for all US and Canadian coins. Please be aware coin dealers will not buy back for full bullion value as they have to make a profit to stay in business. I hope that helps.
