Investing in Citi Group?

Im a new investor looking to invest some money. I noticed how freaking low Citi is. You guys think this would be a good investment (From what I remember I think it used to average around the 50’s now its around 3 dollars.) Do you think the company is going to go under? Or a pretty good 5-7 year investment (dont think ide make anything until then off the stock) I dont know just seems some of thes staple companies will survive this recession. I was also thinking of investing in google, caterpillar,morgan stanley, and possibly Silver. Any sugestions?
