What are your thoughts on this? Is there any particular coins or anything special I should be looking for? I’m buying them for investment purposes.

Coin and stamp collecting only pays off for the companies selling you the stuff with the myth that you can make lots of money. While a famous pair of brothers (I think it was the Hunt Brothers) bought lots of silver in the 1970s, I don’t think you’re going to get rich and famous from buying silver. Consider purchasing a precious metals mutual fund or ETF through your favorite brokerage. That is much more liquid than a bag of coins.

You’re probably betting on the appreciation of precious metals prices and not the price of the coins. Unless you want to become a coin expert, just buy the bulk metals.

I would never buy an expensive coin on eBay unless it was certified. The link has historical coin values for many of the rarer US coins. I hope that helps.
